Domenico Modaffari is a PhD student working on the role of local translation during hyphal growth in filamentous fungi. He is a joint student with Ken Sawin at the Wellcome Centre for Cell Biology and is funded by the Wellcome Integrative Cell Mechanisms programme.

Domenico completed a BSc in Molecular Genetics at King’s College London, and spent a year at the University of California, Berkeley during the course of his degree.
